Jonathan De Luna
Jonathan De Luna is an Oklahoma City-based mixed media artist. Having started writing in 2005, Jonathan began making calligraphic paintings in 2014. Using found, reclaimed wood panels from construction job sites, he creates highly detailed imagery of patterns reminiscent of formal Hebrew and Arabic alphabet systems with acrylic and aerosol paints. Often set on black backgrounds, these curvilinear designs feature bright, vivid colors and metallic pigments.
Jonathan’s work was featured in our exhibition Inclusion in Art at The Art Hall, December 7, 2018 through March 31, 2019.
