Lee Ann Jones
Artist Biography
Lee began painting in high school while taking an oil painting class with her mother. She continued to paint occasionally throughout the years after marrying and having children, when time permitted.
After losing her daughter in a car crash and her subsequent divorce, Lee didn't paint for some time. She couldn't find the time while helping her ill parents but she longed to take it up again. After they passed away, Lee experienced homelessness. That is when she found her way to Fresh StArt, an arts program of the Homeless Alliance in Oklahoma City. Painting again helped her through those rough times.
She is no longer homeless. She has been a part of several group shows, and her work can be found in private collections around the state.
Lee's work was featured in our exhibition, SideStories, June - September, 2017.
