Maria Wood
Artist Statement
Maria Wood is an Asian American artist from Oklahoma. In 2018, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in painting, minoring in Asian Studies and Art History from the University of Central Oklahoma.
Maria's past work encompasses the investigation of disassociation characteristics tied to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and creates the imagery through oil painting. Her current work looks back on the intriguing packaging of goodies from East and South Asia.
Maria’s work was featured in our exhibition Inclusion in Art at The Art Hall, December 7, 2018 - March 31, 2019.
