Sean Eldridge was born in McAllen, Texas, in 1986, and moved to Oklahoma City in 1987. At age six, Sean began his art journey with sketching and experimenting with paint. His art always has been inspired by cartoons which he watched growing up, and comic strips and graffiti have heavily influenced Sean’s ideas as well. As he matured as an artist, Sean derived inspiration from European masters. As a result, Sean’s art resembles connection between the old and new. Since 2010, Sean has been showing his artwork in galleries in Oklahoma City. In 2012, Sean painted his first mural which became a permanent fixture of the City. His mission statement describes his need to create a dialogue with the viewer that can create a moment of escape from the everyday struggle. As an artist, his goal is to present the world in a comic and questionable way.
